June and July Barkbox

I didn't get a chance to write about Barkbox last month, and I had this months waiting for me when I got home from holidays so I'm going to do both together here.

June's barkbox had 4 items, two toys and two bags of treats. The card in the box this month had something new where it shows the price of the items and a code you can text to them if you want to buy another one. I'm not sure how this would work for me being in Canada since all these items tend to cost a little more in our stores, but it's exciting because there are some items that my dog really enjoys that are difficult for me to find even though I live in Toronto.
The first toy that he got that he lovess is called R2P Monkey Silly Bums which is basically a monkey with a pink bum with no arms or head. This item it worth $10.00 on the card. My dog loves this toy, it makes noises and it's strong material and he hasn't been able to rip it apart yet.
The second toy is a Benebone Nylon Chew which is infused with bacon and is three prongs. My dog chews bones a lot and this one has gotten a lot of use so far, he loves bacon and he's able to hold onto it very well with the three prongs. This item is worth $12.00 on the card.
The first bag of treats are Green Bark Gummies Hip and Joint Treats. This bag is worth $10.00. We haven't opened these yet because we still have a large bag full of bags of treats from Woofstock and a few from previous months of Barkbox, but these look like something he will enjoy.
The other bag of treats are Benny Bully's Beef Liver and Banana Treats. This bag is worth $8.00. Banana is one of his favourite flavours so we brought this bag with us on vacation and he loved them. They are very large and seem very healthy.
The total value of this box is $40.00 according to what they have on the card, but if I were to buy them here in Canada it would be higher plus taxes.

The July barkbox had five items again, but I guess they forgot to give me a card.
This one only had one toy and four food items. The toys are such a good quality that they are all over my apartment which is great since he normally destroys toys so quickly. The toy in this box is another item from the Loopies brand, this one is called a Floppy Fishbone. I was unable to find this for sale anywhere online, only the cat version but this toys usually run around $20-$30.
This box got another Cool Treats Smoothie, this time in the flavour Pina Colada. We still haven't given him the last one since it hasn't been crazy hot yet but he likes ice cubes a lot so I'm sure he will enjoy these when we finally give them to him. These are worth around $6.00 if bought individually.
The one package that we have opened is Healthy Dogma Coconut Flavour Barkers. These smell amazing and are pretty large biscuits and my dog seems to like them. This package is worth $7.95.
Another bag of treats is called Bixbi Chicken Breast Jerky Treats. These looks like they are large in the bag and is a pretty big bag. This is worth $9.99.
The last item is a stick and is called Etta Says Crunchy Duck Chews. I don't think he has had anything duck yet, but he is obviously not a picky dog so I'm sure he'll eat it. This is worth $6.99.
The total value of this box is $50-$60. This is a great value for what I end up paying per box.

July Ipsy

I was on vacation for the last 2 weeks or so, so this is a little late but this is my July Ipsy! I am pretty excited for this months items, there is one I wouldn't use and one I would have preferred the alternative however it's a good month. Ipsy is a monthly subscription service that costs $10.00 a month, but being in Canada I have to pay for shipping which is another 4.95 USD so you'll pay the difference of exchange rate. If you want to subscribe you can do so here: http://www.ipsy.com/r/3kg1

Here is the items I got, three of them came in their own boxes so there is one picture in the boxes and one without.
The first item I got was pur-lisse pur-protect essential daily moisturizer in spf 30 in the size of 15 mL. This is the second item from this brand I have gotten, in May I got one very similar but wasn't spf. This one sells on their website for $55.00 for a 50 mL bottle.

The next item I got is a hair oil by the brand Marrakesh Endz, it is an Argan and hemp oil therapy which is a split end mender and preventer in the size of 30 mL (1oz). I am excited for this item since I have very thin hair and gets pretty damaged because of it. Mine is in the scent Original but it also comes in High Tide and Dreamsicle in a 2 oz bottle for $11.50.

This is the one item but I think is cool, however there was one I would have preferred over this one. Some people got Benefit's They're Real Mascara which I've gotten a sample of before and it was amazing. The mascara I got instead is from the company Pur and is called Big Look waterproof extreme mascara with Argan Oil in 3.4 g. This sells on their website for $20.00.

The next item I got is from the company Elizabeth Mott and is a lip and cheek stain called Tints and Sass in the size 0.35 oz. This is an item that I probably would not use since I don't wear Blush or Lipstick. This is another full size item though, that sells for $22.99.

The last item I got is a mini eyeshadow pallet from Bare Minerals. This has two colours: Muse and Passion and is in the size of 0.03 oz. There was an email days before the ipsy spoilers began to say that everyone would be getting a Bare Minerals item in their bag. These colours are nice, I have been liking purple eyeshadow lately so I would make use of these. This sells for $25.00 for the full size of 0.1 oz.

This is the bag it came in. I lovee the colour of the bag and the size, but the cut around the outside is a little weird. The items in this months bag are worth a total of $78.49 before taxes and shipping (which would be pretty high in Canada). This months was well worth the value and has products that I would find useful.

Julep Red Marker Sale

June 13th was Julep's semi-annual red marker sale with "up to 85% off". When you RSVP'd on their Facebook Event you were supposed to be access 24 hours early, however the sale was up even before that. I saw the sale a couple hours after it was originally posted and there were already items out of stock, so I got whatever I could then rather than waiting for the morning. I ended up doing a 2nd order towards the end of the sale since they added one more polish that I wanted, I'm assuming it was to compensate for some of the sold out ones. So in total I spent a total of $24.00 and got 4 minis and 8 regular sized bottles.

The minis I got came in a package called Little Lights. I really wanted Paris and Ivy and these were in the package along with 2 other pretty colours. This set was originally $36.00, I got it for $8.00 and it's still on sale now for $9.99. The four colours in this set are Ivy, Paris and Colbie all from the It Girl collection and Jameson from the Classic with a Twist collection.
The next four I got came in sets of two for $5.00 each set. Neither of these sets are available on the website anymore and all of the colours individually are either sold out or no longer on the site. The first set I got was called Party Dress and contained Christine from the Boho Glam collection and Evelyn from the Classic with a Twist collection. I got this one because I really liked Evelyn but was unsure about Christine, but seeing it swatched I'm happy with both colours. The second set was called To All a Good Night and contained Bunny from the It Girl collection and Alexis from the Boho Glam collection. I liked both colours in this set, both have some shimmer in them which I like a lot.
The last four I got were all individual polishes. The first three were $2.00 each, and these were Mackenzie from the It Girl collection, Emerson from the Classic with a Twist collection and Kimberly from the Boho Glam collection. On the Facebook event page they had a vote for which polish of a certain list you would like to see go on sale for $2.00 and Kimberley was the winner of this vote. It sold out sometime during the day the sale was supposed to actually start and they added Emerson to the sale, which is the polish that I had purchased separately. The 4th I got was actually a full price polish ($11.20) that I got for free using the discount code POLISHPERK. They have so many pretty nail polishes that it took me a while to go through everything to pick which one I was going to get with the code. I chose this one since it was in the Limited Edition Collections section of their website, and I am in love with glitters. This glitter has a stardust finish which I don't like much being textured and matte, but with a good topcoat it becomes smooth and shiny.

Here are the swatches I got of all the colours, Bunny is a little hard to see since it's on white, but you can see the shimmer a little. I am very happy with this purchase, $24.00 for 12 bottles is an excellent savings and I like all the polishes that I got. There were a few more in the sale that I would have liked to get but they sold out very quickly.
